RESULT

An intimate campaign film and accompanying cut downs, centered around a candid conversation on Wellness and Joy between podcaster Shan Boodram and recording artist Foggieraw, amplifying the platform's signature podcast content and connecting the brand to a whole new generation of listeners, garnering 3.7 million views on Instagram alone within the first 24 hours of publishing. 

BRIEF

Frequency is Spotify's global initiative elevating Black creativity, culture, and voices across the platform and beyond. We were tapped to create a film which would reach and appeal to previously untapped Gen Z. 

WHAT WE DID

As Retrospect's production partners, we were brought on to bring the brief to life from mood board to billboard. We handled art buying as well as full-service production, from pre production to post production. As the first production company to have been granted access to shoot within Spotify's LA sound stages, previously only reserved for in-house teams, we took this unique access as an opportunity to further imbue the brand's essence into the campaign film, creating an authentic and empowering cultural moment.
